The rated output, listed CDF and total inertia are closely interlinked and alteration of any one of them has an effect on the other two.
The driven inertia has an effect of increased heating with the increasing number of starts/hour and therefore the inertia values given should not be exceeded in these cases.
However, the permissible load inertia can be increased by lowering the number of starts as per the following rules.
For the starting class lower than 150 or between two listed categories, the “total permissible inertia” (i.e. motor + load + coupling + brake drum) can be varied in inverse proportion to the number of starts.
