Winding temperature detectors : 
Extreme supply conditions and high ambient temperatures may lead to protect the motor against thermal instability. The protection of the motor can be done by providing the Temperature Detectors(Thermistors) inserting in the winding. Thermistors are the positive temperature co-efficient resistors having highly non-linear resistance for temperature.

Two types of thermistors will be provided depending on the temperature limit required for the motor.  These are P-130 grade for B class insulation temperature rise limit or P-150 grade for ‘F’ class insulation temperature rise limit. These Thermistors are embedded in the winding overhangs and terminated in the main Terminal Box.

These Thermistors are to be used in conjunction with control unit called Thermitect unit.

Above mentioned Anti-condensation heaters and Thermistors will be supplied only against specific order.
